The city of Boca Raton and its unincorporated outlying region west of Jog Road (West Boca) is on the south border of Palm Beach County. There are many cultural, business and social opportunities in this manicured expanse of private homes, condos and Senior Communities – gated and providing some level of health services.

Snowbirds arrive in the fall and stay till late spring, inflating the numbers of Older Adults in our area. Services and entertainment for retirees include: The Volen Center, Sandler Center, JCC, Ruth Rales Jewish Family Service as well as Day Care Centers including FAU’s Memory & Wellness Center.

In addition to Florida Atlantic University, there is Lynn University and Palm Beach County Community College. The two main hospitals are West Boca Medical Center and Boca Raton Regional Hospital. Whether you live in a condo or private home, driving is essential in Florida and often times your car may be a bit of a walk from your front door. If any assistance is needed driving or carrying heavy groceries, we are happy to help. Parkinson Caregiver Support Groups are facilitated by our Social Worker at the West Boca YMCA each Thursday at 11:30 a.m.  Discharge Group facilitated every Tuesday afternoon at Heartland Rehab Center in West Boca.
