Paradise

1. What is Home Care?

Home care is assistance provided wherever a client calls home — whether that’s a private residence, independent or assisted living community, memory care, or a group home.  Your home can also be a short term rehab center or a hospital stay. Our goal is to support clients so they can remain independent, safe, and comfortable.

Home care may include:

  •   Personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming)
  •   Ambulating or transfers from bed to chair
  •   Meal preparation and assistance with eating
  •   Light housekeeping, laundry, and linens
  •   Transportation to doctor’s appointments, errands, or social activities
  •   Grocery shopping and medication reminders
  •   Companionship and emotional support

Having a caregiver doesn’t take away independence — it helps our clients maintain their independence longer.

2. Why Choose Paradise Home Health Care?

Paradise Home Health Care is a truly family-owned and operated nurse registry serving Palm Beach and Broward counties since 2011. Our boutique approach ensures every client and family receives the focus, care, and attention they deserve.

  •   All services are handled in-house — from scheduling to billing, with no third-party vendors.
  •   We are available 24/7 — when you call, you’ll always reach a member of our team, never an answering service.
  •   We treat your family like our own, making sure care is dependable, compassionate, and personalized.

3. How Are Caregivers Screened?

All caregivers are independent contractors (1099), allowing us to connect clients with the best match for their unique needs. Before registering with us, every caregiver must:

  1.   Complete paperwork in person at our office
  2.   Pass a Level II background check (state and FBI)
  3.   Provide valid licenses/certifications (CNA, HHA, LPN, RN) and all required documents by law
  4.   Submit documentation from a physician confirming they are free of communicable diseases
  5.   Maintain current CPR/First Aid certification

This thorough screening ensures we refer only qualified, experienced, and caring professionals

4. What is the Cost of Home Care?

The cost of care depends on your loved one’s needs and schedule. As a family-owned business, we work with families to provide affordable options while ensuring rates are fair and competitive so we can continue referring qualified, reliable caregivers.

Our Family Liaisons will work with you to create a personalized schedule and provide a detailed quote.

5. How Do I Pay for Services?

We handle all billing directly in-house (no third-party vendors). Clients are billed weekly, and we accept:

  •   Credit cards
  •   Zelle
  •   Checks
  •   Long-Term Care Insurance

Payment is made directly to Paradise Home Health Care, and we disburse funds to the caregiver on the client’s behalf.

6. Do You Accept Insurance?

We accept most Long-Term Care (LTC) insurance policies.

We do not accept Medicare, Medicaid LTC, or private health insurance.

If you’re unsure about coverage, we’re happy to review your policy with you and guide you through the process.

7. Do You Offer Hospice or Palliative Care Support?

While we do not provide hospice or palliative care directly, we work closely with hospice providers to support families during this time.

Hospice home care often does not include hands-on daily assistance, which is where we step in. Our caregivers can continue providing personal care, comfort, and companionship while your loved one receives hospice or palliative services, ensuring dignity and quality of life are maintained.

8. How Soon Can Care Start?

In many cases, care can begin the same day we speak with you. However, providing 24–48 hours’ notice allows us to carefully match you with the right caregiver and design a schedule tailored to your needs.

9. What Makes Us Different From Other Agencies or Registries

Unlike large, corporate agencies, Paradise Home Health Care is a family-owned and operated nurse registry. That means:

  •   You receive personalized attention and direct communication with our team.
  •   Calls are answered by our staff, not a call center.
  •   We focus on quality over quantity, carefully matching caregivers with clients.
  •   We have a Certified Senior Advisor on Staff
  •   We treat every client as if they were part of our own family.

This personal touch and commitment to compassionate care have made us a trusted choice in Palm Beach and Broward counties since 2011.
