As reported in both the Palm Beach Post and the Sun-Sentinel.
Palm Beach county seniors are curious about many of the websites they here about. What began as a couple of presentations, such as “Online Dating”, for Boomers and Older Adults/Retirees and Boomers has now grown to a six-part program in which each segment can be done by itself. Another popular installment is “Technology Made Easy” which walks folks through such popular sites as: YouTube, Google, Pandora, Ted Talks, Netflix and a few others. The topics attendees ask to search range from how to make Matzo Ball Soup or travel tips in Italy. Other installments include UBER and Meet-Ups, How to Send an Email and Attachments, Exploring Amazon and EBay. All topics use a PowerPoint with presenters, Tali Kentof of VITAS and Sherry Picker, MSW to show the sites, give safety tips and answer questions. The aim is to educate, entertain, and hopefully even enlighten the groups. It is a social hour and a half and both men and women attend, bringing their tablets or laptops.
