 Jan. 8th                                                                              Mind and body – The Mechanics of Movement – Ed Gray                                                    

Wellness Forum presenter, Ed Gray, owner and therapist of Florida Movement Therapy Centers, has a passion to help patients with neurological conditions. He often speaks to Wellness Forum types of classes. Graduated summa cum laude from Barry University with a B.S. in Occupational Therapy and summa cum laude from Lynn University with a B.S. in Physical Therapy Assistant, Ed has dedicated his life to improving outpatient neurologic and orthopedic rehabilitation.  His most recent advances include incorporating innovative medical technology and advanced therapy programs into some unique, uplifting, highly successful treatment regimens.  Combined with Ed’s informative, energetic approach, these programs will get you moving again.

Jan. 15th                                                                                                                                                                                              Move with the Music – Bree Beynon, MT-BC, Neurologic Music Therapist Palm Beach Music Therapy Institute .  Bree earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy with a concentration in voice from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY.  After completing a 6-month internship at Hospice of Palm Beach County, Bree earned her board-certification and continued working primarily with hospice patients in residential and medical settings.  Music and movement are definitely part of a good Wellness Forum.  She also received training and certification from the Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy at Colorado State University.  Bree works as a music therapist in medical and educational settings at PBMTI as well as Director of Business Development.

Jan. 22nd                                                                                                                                                                                            Tai Chi: Move into Wellness – Chip Sexton, DOM. Doctor of Oriental Medicine and a Licensed Acupuncturist.   He has helped thousands of patients with a wide range of conditions including chronic and acute pain, digestive disorders, respiratory problems, neurological diseases, fatigue, and weight-loss issues. Chip began practicing tai chi in 1995 and teaches weekly classes in Delray Beach. A new Wellness Forum idea from the past.

Jan. 29th–                                                                                                                                             Move and Groove– True Sexy Senior Stories – Ann Meyerson, MD, PhD                                 Ann Meyerson has been a Transition Counselor and Realtor since 1985, specializing in assisting seniors and their families with all aspects of the transition process. Dr Meyerson received an M.D. in Counseling from the University of Maryland and a PhD in Educational Leadership from Georgia State University. Her professional affiliations are with Keyes Real Estate in SE Florida. She is a designated SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist) with the National Association of Realtors, A Transition Expert at a Place for Mom and a show host and frequent presenter on Channel 12 Cablevision – CT.

Moderator: Sherry Picker, MSW is a Social Worker with Paradise Home Health Care- Private duty caregivers and Nursing.  She is a native Floridian who received her BA at Stern College, Yeshiva University and Master of Social Work from Hunter College – NYC.
